DEVO. 12.18.24
“Behold, I stand at the door [of the church]and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20 AMP)
- I used this verse a few days ago and I focused on the first part of the verse, what we need to do.
- We hear his voice.
- We open the door.
- We stop what we are doing and we invite Him in!
- Now, when we do that, He says that, He will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me.”
- That’s a promise of God.
- When we do our part, He will fulfill His part!
- God’s desire is an ongoing relationship with Him.
- Eating with someone is a picture of fellowship.
- It’s not just talking but it’s also listening.
- When you eat, physically you are going to receive nourishment.
- The same thing spiritually. When He comes in and sits down with you, you will be spiritually nourished.
- You will be infused with energy by the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus says, “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:8 NIV)
- Today, ask for the Holy Spirit to fill you with His power.
- Ask Him for wisdom & guidance.
- If your life is in chaos, ask for peace.
- If you are confused, ask for clarity!
- But one of the most important parts of this, is spiritual ears that know how to hear His voice.
- You’ve got to be still long enough to hear Him.
- He is standing at the door of your heart and He is knocking, knocking, knocking!
- Can you hear?
- Will you slow down long enough to hear?
- After you hear, will you let Him come in and restore everything in your life that is broken and worn out?
- Will you give him all access to re-order everything that is out of order?
- Ask and you will receive!
- Have a great Wednesday!
