DEVO. 11.13.24
“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you.”
(John 15:7 AMP)
- Can you describe your life as vitally united to Jesus?
- “Vital.”
- If something is vital, then that means it is as important as the air you breathe!
- You must absolutely be united to Him or you are not living!
- The reality is that most of us are content to know about Jesus but not actually “know Him”
- We have “religion” but we don’t have a “vital relationship.”
- Jesus says that when you remain or stay in a relationship with Him, His message will live in your Heart.
- As His message lives in your heart, it will give birth to dreams! God-sized dreams!
- When Moses became connected to God, God’s message of deliverance and freedom for God’s people was birthed in Moses’ heart.
- The deliverance of God’s people was actually God’s dream.
- Then when Moses encountered God at the burning bush, God’s dream became Moses’ dream.
- Then Moses went off to accomplish God’s dream and He did it God’s way.
- Moses became completely dependent on God’s direction, God’s wisdom and God’s power!
- Once God directed Moses to appear before Pharaoh, there was no turning back.
- Moses had confronted the strongest power of his time and He could no longer depend on his own ability or wisdom.
- He was, in essence, a “dead man walking!”
- Moses had to die to his own wisdom and strength.
- The “new Moses” was now a man who had no direction of his own but was completely directed by God.
- God had changed Moses’ will and ambition. He was now “God’s vessel” that was being used “God’s way.”
- Now his desires were God’s desires!
- So, when Jesus says, “Ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you...” this is what it looks like.
- Moses was vitally united with God just like we need to be vitally united to Jesus.
- His desires need to become your desires and it only comes out of a vital relationship with Him!
- Today, ask God to plant His dreams in your heart and place your dependence on Him!
- Have a great Wednesday!
