DEVO. 11.04.24
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” (Philippians 4:8 NLT)
- The word “fix” means to center your mind on and then implant them in your heart.
- To “fix” means to be 100% focused on and let nothing distract you from that focus.
- Now what does the apostle Paul tell us to be focused on?
- Things that are, “true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
- Can I tell you that the enemy of your soul is working overtime to distract you from every one of these things?
- When Jesus says that your enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy, this is it, right here!
- The enemy of your soul wants to rob from you everything that is pure and lovely and fill you with things that are impure, vile and evil.
- He wants you to take the truth and question in.
- He wants you to take the love of God and make you doubt it.
- He would rather have you fixed on a lie to the point that the lie becomes your truth and is implanted in your heart.
- Now all of a sudden, you will fight for that lie and defend that lie!
- But if your mind is fixed… completely locked in on the truth, then you will not entertain a lie.
- You need to not only know it in your mind but have it implanted in your heart .
- And how do you do that?
- You walk with truth, talk with truth and constantly abide in truth because Truth is a person.
- Truth is the person of Jesus Christ!
- Today, fix your mind and heart on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable!
- Let that truth become your reality!
- Have a great Monday!
