DEVO 07.25.24

DEVO. 07.25.24

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” (II Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

- God is looking!

- He is searching the whole earth to strengthen those who are fully committed to Him and His plan.

- Not partially committed but completely committed.

- Those who trust in “Him alone”

- King Asa was the king in Judah and He was a good king.

- He removed all the false idols in the Land

- He turned the hearts of the people people, back to the Lord and 2 Chronicles 14:7 says, “Asa told the people of Judah, “The land is still ours because we sought the Lord our God, and he has given us peace on every side.”

- Because he sought the Lord, the Lord gave him peace, protection and the Lord provided for him.

- But later in his reign he began to trust in men more than God.

- He trusted more in what He could see physically than what He knew spiritually.

- King Asa was told, “Because you have put your trust in the king of Aram instead of in the Lord your God, you missed your chance to destroy the army of the king of Aram.” (16‬:‭7‬)

- “You missed your chance!” Ouch! All because He stopped trusting God.

- And then comes our verse of the day which in the Message paraphrase says, “God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him.”

- When you trust Him, you’ve got His attention! He’s constantly looking!

- Today, take your eyes off of your problem and off of man and put them firmly on the Lord!

- He is your hope and your Salvation!

- Have a great Thursday!
