DEVO. 07.08.24
“He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”” (Acts 9:4 NLT)
- This week I am headed with our youth to NC for their mission camp!
- The whole focus for this trip is Revival and we are starting in Acts 9, Saul’s encounter with Jesus!
- If you are reading this post, please pray that our youth would have a real encounter with Jesus.
- It may not be the same as Saul, who became the apostle Paul but the important thing is that they encounter Him.
- Pauls encounter changed everything!
- His name changed.
- His mission changed. From persecutor of Christians to becoming an apostle of Christ Himself.
- His whole life purpose changed!
- Saul’s life was turned upside down because of a real encounter with Christ!
- Isn’t that what we want for our youth who have been saturated with this world?
- We all need a Real Encounter!
- I’m praying for stories that say, “I went to camp one way, and I left camp totally transformed!”
- I’m not just praying that they attend a nice service but that our students truly experience the power and presence of the Holy Spirit!
- That they receive leave this camp with a new walk, a new focus and a new passion for Christ!
- That we would see those who were once spiritually dead, come to life!
- Let’s pray that bondages and addictions break off.
- Let’s pray for their identities to be rooted and grounded in Christ.
- Let revival begin in us!
- I pray that we all have a real encounter with our risen Savior!
- From those reading this post to those on this trip, what would it look like if you truly encountered Jesus this week?
- Have a great Monday!
