DEVO. 04.07.25

“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭42‬ ‭NLT‬‬

- Are you distracted?

- Could you be distracted from what is most important and not even realize it?

- Martha was busy and distracted.

- It was for a good purpose and reason.

- She was preparing a meal and it was a big meal for Jesus and his disciples.

- But the key word was that she was “distracted.”

- She was distracted to the point that she complained to Jesus because she thought that Mary was wrong.

- She was busy and working and she wanted to pull others into her business.

- Her perspective kept her from seeing the greater thing that Jesus had.

- She thought it was “unfair” for her sister to be sitting there listening to the Words of Jesus.

- She couldn’t see that His words were Words of Life!

- Jesus words were the Words of Truth.

- Martha was blinded by the natural and the physical.

- Jesus needed her to see beyond the natural and see the Spiritual.

- She said, “Tell her to come and help me.” And Jesus said, "Let her stay!"

- ‭‭Today, examine your business.

- Make sure that you are not distracted by business when Jesus wants you to be consumed by His Word and driven by His word!

- Don’t miss what is really important!

- Today, ask the Lord to open your eyes to the “greater things”

- See the spiritual beyond the natural.
