DEVO. 02.03.25
“Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.” (Mark 11:22-23 NLT)
- Jesus says, “Say to this mountain”
- Are you speaking to your mountain or is your mountain speaking to you?
- Your mountain is your unbelief!
- Your mountain is the thing that stands in the way of your God given dream.
- It can be a sickness or an illness.
- It could be rejection from the past.
- It can be a diagnosis or a mindset that says, “This is what is possible, for you, but nothing more.”
- Your mountain says, “I stand in front of you and your dreams and don’t even think of going any farther!”
- Your mountain says, “Here is where your faith stops”
- Your mountain laughs at your hopes and dreams, much like Goliath laughed at the young boy David, who stood in front of him with a sling and a stone.
- But, your speech has to be governed by the Spirit of God because your mind will give you all the reasons why something won’t happen.
- The Lord says, “Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.” (Psalms 81:10)
- He wants to fill your mouth with the sound of victory!
- He wants to put hope back in your heart!
- He says, “Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
- He says, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Phil.4:13)
- He says, “This is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4)
- He says, “God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” (Deut. 20:4)
- He says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
- Today, speak to your mountain and don’t allow your mountain to speak to you one more moment!
- Your victory begins the moment that you speak it!
