DEVO. 01.30.25
“So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”
(Matthew 10:31 NLT)
- Do you realize how valuable you are?
- It’s a tragedy when Gods children walk around feeling valueless.
- But Jesus wants to remind you this morning that you are not value-less, you are value-most!
- In Matthew 10 Jesus says, “What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.”
- He takes the most inexpensive animal and says, your father sees them and your father cares about them.
- He places value on what we would think has little value.
- Then over you he says, “you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”
- His value is not based on your performance or achievements.
- His value is not when you get everything right.
- His value is not based on how your hair looks today!
- Think about it…what does a sparrow do? Nothing! It just flies around and gathers food.
- Do you realize how much he loves you and cares about you, this morning?
- Your values is the same as Jesus, himself!
- “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
- His love was expressed in the life of His son!
- He redeemed you with the life of Jesus, Himself!
- That means that your worth is the same as Jesus!
- Isn’t that incredible?
